About wibailoutpeople

We are a part of the national Bail Out The People movement which formed in 2008 to fight against the bailouts to the banks. Since then we have been in numerous fights against poverty, racism and war. We demand that the people be bailed out not the banks, a moratorium on all foreclosures, a federal jobs program now and other demands. We have been participating in the Wisconsin people's uprising, Bloombergville in NYC and numerous other people's actions.

Milwaukee, August 28: Protest Israeli Settlement Construction

http://tinyurl.com/lozk7pl

From the Milwaukee Palestine Solidarity Coalition:

6255 N Santa Monica Blvd., Milwaukee, 6 p.m.

Join us to protest as local funders of Israeli settlement construction are awarded by The Jewish National Fund Milwaukee Annual Banquet.

As Israel continues to build settlements on Palestinian land against international law, zionist supporters of the illegal settler colonies will congratulate each other for what they call “their support in reclaiming the land to help secure the State of Israel.”

We know there can be no real peace talks while Israel announces 1,200 new settlements. We say: “No awards for illegal settlements!”

California Prisoners Enter Sixth Week of Hunger Strike

http://prisonerhungerstrikesolidarity.wordpress.com/

Call Governor Jerry Brown
Phone: (916) 445-2841, (510) 289-0336, (510) 628-0202
Fax: (916) 558-3160

Suggested script: I’m calling in support of the prisoners on hunger strike. The governor has the power to stop the torture of solitary confinement. I urge the governor to compel the CDCR to enter into negotiations to end the strike. RIGHT NOW is their chance to enter into clear, honest negotiations with the strikers to end the torture.

GM (ASOTRECOL) Colombia Workers Need Solidarity

Please keep calling GM, posting to their facebook page, sharing photos and articles through social media, visiting dealerships, holding rallies, etc. Please call the U.S. Embassy Labor Attaché Andrea Aquilla at 011-57-1-275-2413 or email her at AquillaAL@state.gov to say that it is not their place to order evictions of peaceful protests by Colombians on Colombian soil, exercising rights guaranteed under the Colombian Constitution.
