International Action Center: U.S. Responsible for Destruction of Multiple Nations That Is Causing Worldwide Refugee Crisis
http://iacenter.org/category/immigrants/
Information, activism & resistance to U.S. militarism, war & corporate greed, linking with struggles against racism & oppression within the United States
The International Action Center is committed to building broad-based grassroots actions opposing U.S. wars abroad while fighting racism and economic exploitation of workers at home. With every mobilization or campaign, the IAC strives to connect struggles and bring together communities of color, women, lesbian, gay, bi and trans people, youth and students, immigrant and workers’ organizations in order to build a progressive movement for social justice and change.
Our goal: work toward the liberation of all peoples living in the U.S. and around the world.
The IAC is “anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist.” We strive to end human suffering caused by living under a system that puts profit before people’s needs. The multi-national corporations and banks based in the U.S., Europe and Japan extract resources and debt payments from the rest of the world. The Pentagon and CIA protect their wholesale plunder.

U.S./NATO Out Of Libya protest 8-27-2011, Milwaukee
The best way to fight U.S. imperialism abroad is to stand in full solidarity with people of color living within U.S. borders. Fighting against racism at home must be foremost in the minds and hearts of all who call themselves anti-war activists.
Since our founding in 1992, with Ramsey Clark and many anti-war and community activists opposing the first war on Iraq, we have been at the forefront against U.S. maneuvers to re-colonize countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and in the Caribbean. We organize demonstrations, direct actions, picket lines, community forums, speak-outs, war-crimes tribunals; we publish books and produce videos, traveling throughout the country and the world.
We demand an end to U.S. aid to Israel and defend Palestinian self-determination and the right to return. We organized campaigns against U.S. targeting of Muslim people, occupations of Iraq, Afghanistan, Haiti, Yugoslavia, South Korea and the expanding U.S. role throughout Africa. We work to end the blockade of Cuba, sanctions against Iran and North Korea, U.S.-NATO intervention in Ukraine, NATO’s ominous move to the Russian Federation borders and encirclement of China. We oppose the U.S. war in Syria and its destabilization. We are in solidarity with Venezuela’s Bolivarian government, with emerging revolutionary changes throughout Latin America and with resistance in repressive Colombia and Honduras.
We defend self-determination and the right to reparations for Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Indigenous Nations and oppressed Black and Latino peoples within the U.S. We oppose the Pentagon’s recruiting working class youth to fight and die for corporate greed; we stand with military personnel refusing to participate and with brave individuals who expose imperialist deceit.
We mobilize nationally against racist police brutality, mass incarceration, the death penalty, and in defense of political prisoners like Mumia Abu-Jamal, Leonard Peltier and Aafia Siddique. We join local community-based struggles, defending people with disabilities, demanding affordable housing, healthcare, utility prices, and education and every worker’s right to a job at a living wage. We have built coalitions in solidarity with immigrant workers and called for raids and deportations to end. We oppose attacks on women’s reproductive rights and demand an end to lesbian, gay, bi and trans people’s oppression. We expose corporate plunder and environmental destruction of the planet.
We welcome comments and suggestions in our ongoing struggle for social justice and change. A completely volunteer organization, we rely solely on contributions to accomplish all that we do. Please click here to donate.

Update from the Arab American Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC): Muslim Ban Executive Orders
Washington, D.C. | www.adc.org | January 27, 2017 – Earlier this afternoon President Donald Trump signed Executive Order (EO) Protection of the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States, which essentially implements an Arab and Muslim ban. The EO also puts an immediate ban on refugees entering the United States.
The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) has already received reports that green card holders and other visa holders have been denied boarding and admission into the United States at the airport. The EO bans nationals and U.S. legal permanent residents (LPR’s – green card holders) from seven countries from entering the United States. The seven countries are Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. Additional countries can be added to the list in the future. Specifically, the ban prevents green card and visa holders from those countries from entering the U.S. for 90 days possibly more.
ADC has developed a toolkit with information about the ban, and the impact on community members. The kit also includes actions you can take. Click here to view the toolkit.
ADC is advising nationals in the U.S. who are from the above referenced countries to not travel abroad. You will not be allowed to re-enter the country. ADC will be hosting a Live Discussion on the EO and its ramifications on Monday, January 30 at 2:00 P.M. EST via Facebook Live.
ADC’s team of lawyers is reviewing the language of the orders to get a complete and better understanding of the EO in its entirety. We are working on a number of community town halls and forums across the country discussing the orders and there implications on visa holders and refugees. We are also providing regular updates on our official Facebook Page and Twitter feed – be sure to follow both to stay up to date.
For green card holders (LPRs) and student visa holders denied entry at the border or airport, contact ADC immediately at 202-244-2990, via email at legal@adc.org, via Twitter @adctweets, and through Facebook Messanger.
ADC has been diligently working on this matter and doing our best to keep the community informed regarding the possible implications of the EO. The EO demonstrates the Trump Administrations clear agenda to criminalize all immigrants, asylum-seekers, refugees, and persons of Arab ancestry and/or of the Islamic faith. The Trump Administration is manipulating current immigration mechanisms to authorize mass blanket discrimination against entire populations based on national origin, religion and/or ethnicity.
Make sure to rise with us and make your voice heard. #NoBanNoWall
Emergency Rallies to Protest Trump’s Anti-Refugee & Anti-Immigrant Executive Orders
from activist, Yasmine Farhang:
EMERGENCY RALLY TODAY 1/28 Happening NOW! 12- 10pm
at Terminal 4 – John F. Kennedy International Airport to Protest #Trump’s RACIST anti-migrant, anti-refugees policies . GO TO Passenger Pick Up “D”
“As you all know, Trump signed the final of 3 horrifying executive orders this week on immigration yesterday (more here) and yet (unlike the first two) the language of the order is *still* not available to the public, making it’s details impossible to know.
*Already* despite receiving some assurances to the contrary, as of 10pm last night, CBP has been instructed to refuse entry to any people from the 7 countries — including refugees, visa holders, students, tourists, — some ambiguity with green card holders although we already have heard reports of some LPRs (lawful permanent residents) being interrogated for hours if national of the countries.
This is happening *right now* — let’s not let this go down without making noise. For those who can (who feel comfortable, and who can risk potential arrest), let’s meet at JFK now — *outside of Terminal 4, International Arrivals”
