The speakers participated in a 31 member anti-war delegation to Pakistan to meet with anti-drone activists and relatives of the 760 civilians murdered by U.S. drones. The delegates visited Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore but were turned back as they approached Waziristan, bordering Afghanistan.

Mr. Jerome Jackson is a paraplegic man from Inkster, Michigan, from a wheelchair accessible home built specially for him in 2004. The stress caused by the threat of eviction has weakened his immune system and elevated his blood pressure, leading to a risk of a stroke, according to his doctors.

At the Walmart in Paramount, Calif., The Huffington Post counted about 600 protestors at 11:30 a.m. Friday. Organizers later said that a total of 1,500 people participated in the protest. Nine people were arrested for sitting in the street, which was blocked off for protestors. Arrestees included three workers, a father of a worker, a former worker, two clergy and two supporters, according to organizers. (Huffington Post photo).
