Milwaukee, March 19: No Confidence, Christopher Manney Appeal Hearing
From the FPC:The Christopher Manney disciplinary appeal hearing has been scheduled to start on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at 4:30 p.m. until approximately 9:00 p.m. If needed, the hearing will continue on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. until approximately 9:00 p.m., and on Saturday, March 21, 2015, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until approximately 6:00 p.m.The hearing will be conducted at the City of Milwaukee Municipal Court, Branch 1, located at 951 N. James Lovell Street in Milwaukee. The hearing is open to the public. Because there is limited seating in the courtroom, a live audiovisual feed will be streamed into the Municipal Court lobby and on City Channel 25.

Pack Statewide Budget Hearings & Listening Sessions to Oppose 2015-17 Austerity Budget Proposals

The legislature’s budget committee will be holding four hearings only. Here’s the schedule:
March 18 – Brillion High School, Endries Performing Arts Center, W1101 County Road HR, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
March 20 – Milwaukee, Alverno College, Pitman Theatre, 3400 South 43rd St., 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
March 23 – Rice Lake, UW-Barron County, Fine Arts Theatre, 1800 College Drive, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
March 26 – Reedsburg, CAL Center Auditorium, 1100 S. Albert Ave., 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The above hearings give you a chance to speak directly to the committee members who will be making most of the budget decisions for the legislature.

Tell Burger King to Pay Keena What She’s Owed!

In December 2014, after a year and a half working at Burger King for $7.25 an hour, Madison worker Keena was offered a promotion to shift manager with a pay raise to $8.50.
She agreed and took on the extra duties. Despite that, she was never given the raise she earned.
Madison, April 2: March/State-wide Day-of-Action
UW Schools will be holding a variety of events and demonstrations across the state in opposition to the UW System budget cuts, and some schools will likely be traveling to Madison to stage a large-scale rally in unity with other organizations.
This is a community event–EVERYBODY’S INVITED!! Please spread the word and invite your friends, co-workers, and family. Wisconsin communities everywhere need to stand up for their UW System.
