Joe is a Syrian-American organizer with Workers World Party from Detroit Michigan. He has participated in struggles against police terror, water shut offs, war, and other injustices. Joe has spoken and written dozens of times about the war against Syria. He looks to use his experience in Cuba to build solidarity and help further the global anti-colonial struggle.
Joe will be going to Cuba as part of the “In the Footsteps of Che” International Brigade in October to mark the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Che Guevara. The trip will include volunteer work at various work places as well as meetings with Cubans and visits to sites of significance to the Cuban Revolution.
