Friends and comrades –
We are four months away from the Re-Founding of the National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, scheduled to take place November 22nd through the 24th at the Chicago Teachers Union hall here in Chicago.
There are activists in cities across the country – New York, Jacksonville, Louisville, Dallas, St. Louis, Detroit, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, and others – preparing for this historic conference, which we believe will be a major contribution to the movement fighting to end police terror over the oppressed Black and Latino communities. We in the Chicago Alliance carry out this work with passion as we feel that the time has come to reestablish the organization that came out of the most momentous movement against political repression in U.S. history – the campaign to Free Angela Davis and All Political Prisoners.
The National Alliance website – http://naarpr.org/ – now contains: The Call to the National Conference; the list of initiating sponsors; a growing list of sponsors and endorsers; and the Draft Program and Schedule for the conference. There is also a link for you to add your organization or your name as an endorser.
Check back in the coming days for information on registration, speakers, housing, and other details as the organizing moves ahead.
In unity and struggle –
