The National Alliance came into being in 1973 in the campaign to free Dr. Angela Davis. For 46 years it has demanded an end to police crimes, and community control of the police This conference and refounding are an opportunity for veterans of the movement against racist and political repression to pass the mantle to new generations and to continue the struggle against police terror, against political repression of the people’s movements, and in support of political prisoners.
