Dear Friends and Supporters of Soul to the Polls,
Community, labor and religious groups have joined together to protect our right to vote, and protest efforts by the conservative Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty who brought the lawsuit against the Wisconsin Elections Commission. This suit is demanding a purge of over 234,000 individuals from the voting rolls across the state of Wisconsin. A special court hearing will be held at the Ozaukee County Court House on Monday morning January 13th at 11 am. Please join us and show your dissatisfaction and outrage of this brazen effort to make it more difficult for residents, especially in minority communities, to vote during the 2020 election cycle.
The adhoc anti-voter suppression coalition is planning a silent protest at the entrance of the courthouse at 9:45 AM. The address of the Ozaukee County Court House is 1201 S. Spring Street, Port Washington Wisconsin. The hearing begins at 11 AM and we will hold our event prior to the hearing.
If you have questions you can reach Grant Williams from SEIU at (314) 914-9118. Thanks for your support and solidarity. The ad-hoc anti-voter suppression coalition includes: Service Employees International Union, Souls to the Polls and members of Fight for $15.
