!!SOLIDARITY ACTIONS!! We will update to the best of our ability as things quickly change.
The Milwaukee Area Labor Council supports the protests for justice for George Floyd and police accountability in Minneapolis, in the greater Milwaukee area, and across the country. Locally, we still have unresolved cases of Joel Acevado and Alvin Cole.
We call on mayors and police departments across the area to use restraint and to respect people’s 1st Amendment Rights. We share this information with interested union members who might wish to participate in any of these peaceful rallies and marches.
Remember– we are in the midst of a pandemic. Keep yourself and the community safe by wearing a mask and trying to maintain distance around you while standing in solidarity.
