6500 Northway, Greendale City Hall, 10 A.M. – 5 P.M.

Celebrating Juneteenth by thinking of all the things we need for true liberation. And what we don’t need.
Not symbolic gestures.
Not empty proposals.
Let us never forget how our elected officials called the National Guard in to join the police in arresting, harassing and tear gassing protesters. People fighting for their right to be free.
We need real, lasting, transformative, systemic change.
Some thoughts about what liberation could look like from a leader in Milwaukee:
– ending white supremacist terror over Black lives
– ending capitalist exploitation of labor
– ending misogynoir
– ending the marginalization of queer and trans folks from our public and personal health care systems

Be sure to watch “Our Issues Milwaukee” this Sunday, June 21st at 7:30 am on CW18 Milwaukee. We’ll discuss the fight for justice and equality. My guests include:
Eric Lucas, Student Activist (Had encounter with Shorewood Attorney)
Khalil Coleman, Community Activist and Organizer
Maria Hamilton, Mother of the late Dontre Hamilton

What started as a group of local allies and activists in Sheboygan wanting to show our community that Black Lives Matter with a billboard in a prominent location, has grown into much more. These funds are being allocated to support the Black Lives Matter movement in Sheboygan, with a focus on awareness and Black youth.

We are so close to winning our demand for police free schools. Former Madison police officer and current MMSD School Board President, Gloria Reyes, is holding up the process by refusing to put a vote on the upcoming meeting agenda; even after a push from other School Board members and community members. This is an abuse of power!
Contact Gloria and tell her to PUT. IT. ON. THE. AGENDA. PERIOD.
