Join the Black Educators Caucus for #weechalkyourwalk and solidarity protest. Sunday August 9th marks 4 years since the murder of Mike Brown, that led to the Ferguson uprising and the rebirth of the Black Lives Matter Movement. We have been denied justice for far too long. The Black Educators Caucus stands in solidarity with the BLM movement and all the families who have lost their loved ones to state sanctioned murder by police. Recently MLHS this statement,”We fully support Black Lives, Black Families, and all of our students as we are all children of God. We do not support the beliefs of the Organization called Black Lives Matter (blacklivesmatter.com) as the founding principles and their beliefs, as outlined in the “About Us” section of their web site, do not align with biblical views.” BEC firmly believes ALL Black Lives Matter and we will not stand for any institution of learning marginalizing and silencing their Black students past and present in the name of religion. This is a family friendly space! Please wear your mask and this activity provides for plenty of social distancing. We will meet at the school. Bring signs for a protest in front of the school.
