The Kenosha 4 held a press conference and rally announcing their 22-day fast for climate justice, which will start on Friday, March 5, 2021. They are demanding that Governor Evers’ Climate Justice Budget be passed for our state. The Kenosha 4 are Justin Blake, Joe Cardinali, Andy Berg, and Rev. Jonathan Barker. Lutheran Office of Public Policy Wisconsin (LOPPW) is partnering with the Kenosha 4, and director Rev. Cindy Crane will be speaking as well. Leaders Of Kenosha – LOK is also partnering with the Kenosha 4.
“This budget is a first step towards my neighbors having a livable future, good paying green jobs, clean air to breathe, and clean water to drink” Rev. Barker shared, “these are good steps towards more neighborly love….”
The Kenosha 4 will be fasting for climate justice for 22 days from Friday, March 5 through Friday, March 26, 2021. During that time, they will be holding events in Kenosha and across the state. They will also be hosting a rally at the state capitol on Saturday, March 6 at 10am. They have a medical professional advising them on their fast.
