Dear all supporters of the Palestinian Students’ Solidarity Campaign,
Thank you again for your support of the campaign to free detained Palestinian students, a campaign that is especially important as attacks escalate on student organizing in occupied Palestine. Over 325 global organizations have now signed on to the statement. The list of organizations is pasted below and is also available at the campaign site, https://freepalestinianstudents.org/ along with an array of social media materials and graphics that you can use to support the campaign.
We’d like to invite you to join us next Thursday, 11 March, for a social media action/Twitter storm using the hashtag #FreePalestinianStudents. This one-hour action will take place at 10 am Pacific, 1 pm Eastern, 6 pm UTC, 7 pm central Europe, 8 pm Palestine. You can get many sample tweets and useful images at https://bit.ly/FreePalestinianStudents — thanks for joining us and highlighting this important issue!
We’ve attached just a few of the campaign materials you can use, but we invite you to use this Google Drive to download high-resolution copies, including editable PSD files. We’re also having stickers and postcards printed — if you’d like physical materials, please write back and let us know! This campaign is particularly important now — multiple students have been arrested in recent days, while students at Al-Quds University are being subjected to a campaign of terror, including Israeli soldiers posting photos of detained students and the Shin Bet sending text messages to numerous students. We encourage you to organize actions and events — folks in Austin and Toulouse have already done so! If you would like advice on the types of actions you can organize, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We encourage you to republish any content you like on your websites and blogs as well as on your social media sites.
Charlotte, for Samidoun
