Attorney Motley will discuss her explosive documentation of “rampant abuse of power, corruption, and many legal issues in policing,” including “ghost arrests”/fake tickets, compiling lists of people because they are protestors, racist “Martin Luther King” parties perpetrated by the Wauwatosa Police Department and more. After her presentation, she will be joined on panel by criminal defense attorney Ramon Valdez of the National Lawyers Guild – Milwaukee, and Sedan Smith of The People’s Revolution – Milwaukee where they will discuss their experiences with the WPD. Emilio De Torre of the Milwaukee Turners will be the host.
Attorney Motley has been a practicing attorney and litigator since 2003 and has worked in Afghanistan since 2008. She is founder to Motley Legal Services and cofounder to Motley Consulting International. She has worked as a Justice Advisor with the US Department of State in Afghanistan and as a Wisconsin Public Defender. She and the NLG -Milwaukee are interested in pursuing a U.S. Dept. of Justice investigation of the Wauwatosa PD.
