We now have a time and location! Biden will fly into the Duluth airport and speak at 2 PM at the UWS Yellowjacket Union. WE will GATHER at the Douglas County Courthouse, 1313 Belknap Street, at 1 PM. Once Biden has passed (via motorcade or helicopter), we will MARCH to UWS and stand as close as we can get to the front entrance of the Union for visibility.
President Joe Biden will visit Superior on Wednesday, March 2. We will gather nearby to tell him to shut down Enbridge Line 5, which threatens the Bad River Watershed and three great lakes, and to take executive action to transition away from fossil fuels. We need federal investments in clean energy and climate action through the Build Back Better Act, and a moratorium on new fossil fuel infrastructure. We will have signs on hand, but feel free to bring your own signs, and your energy! This will be a peaceful, legal gathering. We will GATHER at the Douglas County Courthouse before Biden arrives, and MARCH to the UWS campus to rally as close to the Yellowjacket Union as possible while Biden speaks.
