More than 450 CUNA Mutual Group workers represented by OPEIU Local 39 have been bargaining for a new and fair contract for the past 2 months. CUNA Mutual Group is refusing to provide job security, is threatening to cut our medical plan, freeze the pension plan, and offering wage adjustments far below inflation. Our jobs are at continual risk for outsourcing or being contracted out and management wants to further cut our wages and benefits just months after CUNA Mutual Group announced record breaking profits.
We are calling on all labor unions, faith-based organizations, community organizations, and Madison citizens to join us on an informational picket line Sunday, May 1st, from 10am to 3pm, in front of CUNA Mutual Group’s new building at 5810 Mineral Point Road.
