Racine, WI July 6, 2022: UAW 180 Strike Solidarity Rally!

Sisters and Brothers,

With the strike at CNH ongoing, it is more important now than ever before that we support the brave women and men of UAW Local 180 who have been on strike since May 2.

To show our support, the Milwaukee Area Labor Council – in partnership with the Wisconsin Alliance for Retired Americansl – will be demonstrating with the striking workers on the picket line on Wednesday, July 6 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Highway 11/Durand Avenue picket line. We would like you to join us!

What:Stand with CNH Workers

When: Wednesday, July 6, 2022

Where:Northeast corner Highway 11 and Oakes Rd in Mt. Pleasant

For questions, call WIARA Executive Director Alex Brower at 414-949-8756 or email wiaraexecdir@gmail.com.

Parking: Parking is available at the trailhead of a public bike path located 2/3s of a mile north of the picket line on Oakes Road – click here for a google map link. While there may be large parking lots across Highway 11 from the picket line, please keep in mind that some private businesses may not appreciate non-customers parking in their lots, and there is no pedestrian crossing signal on Highway 11. Also, if you have mobility issues, it would be a good idea to ride with someone who can drop you off at the northeast corner of Highway 11 and Oakes Road first, and then park.

If you can’t make it on Wednesday, don’t worry about it – you can drop off non-perishable food donations to the MALC office on Tuesday during business hours. Please email emily@milwaukeelabor.org to schedule a drop off.

We hope to see you all there!

In Solidarity,

Your Sisters and Brothers in Labor
