We are all Treaty People! And we are converging to Stop Line 5!
We will converge on Friday Evening, Aug 5th on Wisconsin Point in Superior, WI. 5:00 – 9:00pm. Free Camping will be available. Information about other sleeping options can be found in this document:
*** On Sat. Aug. 6th, some of us will come back to Wisconsin Point at 5:45 AM for the Sunrise. Others will come later to enjoy a potluck breakfast at.
By 10 AM we will take our convergence on the road for a “Toxic Tour” followed by a journey along the most coastal route around the Beautiful Bayfield Peninsula. We will make a number of stops for fellowship, food, and being with the water.
We will end our day with a potluck feast and camping on or near the Red Cliff Nation.
*** On Sun. Aug. 7th, we will continue our journey along the coast and down to the Ashland and Bad River Nation area. There we will again have a potluck feast, followed by a free film:
Faultline I Wisconsin’s Mining Standoff – a documentary about how the people in this area fought back against GTAC’s plans for an iron mine in the Penokee Hills about a decade ago.
