Please read and sign the statement below in support of Freedom of Speech and Association for those recently attacked by the FBI for their views on Ukraine.
On Friday, July 29th, the FBI raided the homes and offices of the African People’s Socialist Party, also known as the Uhuru movement, a well-established political organization with offices in St. Petersburg, FL and St. Louis. They were targeted for their position on the Ukraine War. The FBI agents attacked organization leaders with flash/bang grenades at 5 am in the morning, then broke down their doors, handcuffed them and confiscated computer equipment. The people targeted in this organization were referred to as “unindicted co-conspirators” and treated as criminals. They were accused of being “Russian agents” because they connected with a Russian national who they met at a conference opposing the 2014 fascist coup in Ukraine. [read more]
