- Tomorrow, Saturday Feb. 11, 2023 the Milwaukee leg of the Tour will end with the first of our Saturday Forums. Because of slow or no responses from all of the candidates except for Judge Mitchell, Milwaukee Turners had to regroup. They have organized an exciting different kind of Supreme Court forum. More info about this event can be found here: https://fb.me/e/3XshqZ7Mt.
- Photo-Ops and Promoting the Tour and the Election!
The “VoteMobile” is a great backdrop for photos that can help raise awareness about the coming election dates! After the tomorrow’s forum, join us outside of Turner Hall for a photo-op and “Send-off Celebration” for the Tour. Please post your photos from the tour to our Building Unity Facebook Discussion Group. Use these to make social media posts promoting the tour and our “Get-Out-The-Vote” (GOTV) efforts.
And if you can, join us for the “Caravan for Justice and Democracy” that will travel from Milwaukee to Kenosha – departing from Turner Hall at about 3:30 p.m.
- Also on Feb. 11th – 4:30 pm – Welcome in Kenosha – Grace Welcome Center – 2006 60th St. Kenosha. The “Caravan for Justice and Democracy” will bring the VoteMobile to our first stop for the Racine/Kenosha week of Tour activities. More info can be found at our schedule which gets updated regularly.

- People Power Works!
Thanks to the outpouring of letters and calls to the Supreme Court Candidates, Judge Janet Protasiewicz joined Judge Mitchell in agreeing to answer our questions at the rest of our forums.
So for as long as Judges Mitchell and Protasiewicz are in the race, they have committed to taking part in our weekly forums even if they have to so so by video recording. Thanks to all of you who reached out to the campaigns. Please send a Thank-you note to Judges Mitchell and Protasiewicz for their commitment to answer the people’s questions and please continue to pressure Judges Dorow and Kelly to do so as well. – Easy to copy, paste, and send sample letters here.
- On Friday, Feb. 18 – 1:00 pm – We will have one candidate forum before the primary (Feb. 21) – Racine Public Library. So far, Judges Mitchell and Protasiewicz will participate in this forum. Judge Mitchell will appear in person. Judge Protasiewicz will be sending video recorded messages.
- The Tour launched on Feb. 7 with the brilliant showing of support by our partners both at the press conference and send-off in Madison and at our first stop and Welcome Event in Milwaukee. You can see video footage of both of these events on the Building Unity Facebook page. Since landing in Milwaukee, the “VoteMobile” is getting a tour of the town with the leadership of Wisconsin Voices, Souls to the Polls, Milwaukee Turners and other partners who are pulling out the stops and making sure that no eligible voters are unaware of the upcoming critical primary that is coming up on Feb. 21. Thank you, Partners for letting Milwaukee know that “Early Voting” has begun!
- We need your help with coming up with questions for the candidates each week of the forum. You can view our current pool of questions that have already gone out to all of the candidates here. Please send your suggestions for other questions to BuildingUnityWi@gmail.com and Jamie@Wisconsinvoices.org.
- Racine/Kenosha area has a number of midweek events planned for next wee that can be found on our detailed Tour Schedule and Promotional Resources Page.
