Riverside University High School Art Teacher Paige Bauske designed this moving banner for this weekend’s Community Art Build to Win Greater State Funding for Public Education at South Division High School. Paige’s design highlights the desire of Wisconsin urban, rural, and suburban voters, who polling have consistently shown, want greater funding for public education.
This beautiful design, created by Hayes Bilingual Art Teacher Jeanette Arellano and commissioned by MTEA, will be screen printed on patches, posters, and picket signs at this weekend’s Community Art Build to Win Greater State Funding for Public Education at South Division High School. Join us Saturday and Sunday as we produce art to be used in a campaign demanding the state’s $7.1 billion budget surplus be directed towards public education. Volunteers who complete one or more complete shifts will be able to take home one of these or another patch produced during the weekend.
