The Fire and Police Commission voted April 20, 2023 that the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD), now has to release all footage of police critical incidents to the victims families within 48 hours and a public release of videos in 15 days. This win is the result of years of community organizing in Milwaukee. – The MPD has already filed a lawsuit in an attempt to have this new policy take effect.
