Millions worldwide took to the streets March 2, 2024 to stand in solidarity with Palestine and to demand an end to U.S.-Israel genocidal apartheid. All across the U.S. mass demonstrations took place and also in many other countries.
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel participated in a Palestine solidarity delegation in Cuba March 2. He said: “Humanity is witnessing with horror a new holocaust – in the Gaza Strip, the largest open-air prison in th world, with no fewer than 2 million Palestinians living in a concentration camp.”
Also on March 2, the Poor People’s Campaign held protests in many cities within the U.S. Most of these actions had Palestine solidarity contingents with signs and banners demanding an end to U.S. aid for Israel and money for people’s needs and not for the endless U.S. war machine. Hyundai workers joined the Poor People’s Campaign rally at the Alabama state house in Montgomery and many other union members joined in PPC actions in numerous cities.
