Racine Coalition for Peace and Justice
Since October 7, 2003 war has devastated Gaza. Extensive Israeli military activity has resulted in more than 35,000 deaths (the majority women and children). Critical infrastructure such as water, sewage, and healthcare have been destroyed. The war has caused mass starvation and forced relocation of more than a million Gazan civilians.
The Racine Coalition for Peace and Justice will hold a fundraising event, In Solidarity with Gaza, to benefit the Gazan refugees. The event will be on Saturday, June 29 from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 716 College Avenue in Racine. The fundraiser will include a Palestinian lunch, Palestinian music, a silent auction, and two dynamic speakers, Janan Najeeb and Rachel Ida Buff who will speak on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Janan Najeeb is a Palestinian American and founder of the Milwaukee Muslim Women’s Coalition and a co-founder of the Wisconsin Coalition for Justice in Palestine. Rachel Ida Buff is a UWM professor and a founder and president of Milwaukee’s Jewish Voice for Peace.
RCPJ will raise money for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA-USA) and Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund. Please make a generous donation by going to:
