The Juneteenth holiday, also called Freedom Day or Jubilee Day, falls on June 19th. This year, the parade and celebration will be held on Saturday, June 20th, 2026.
The Juneteenth Parade starts at the Madison Labor Temple, 1602 S. Park Street, and goes to Penn Park, 2101 Fisher Street. SCFL will be participating, and we encourage you to join us. The Juneteenth Celebration continues with live entertainment, food, speakers, and family activities. South Central Federation of Labor

Celebration at Penn Park – 12 pm.

Street Closures during the parade: South Park Street will be closed from W. Badger Road to W. Wingra Drive between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Streets immediately surrounding Penn Park will remain closed until 6:00 p.m. Expect rolling detours and check City of Madison Metro Transit for bus route detours.
