CONTRACT RATIFIED! Nearly 500 Service and Support members at Meriter Hospital have a new 4-year contract that guarantees wage increases, better long-term and short-term disability, higher tuition reimbursement, 4 hours PTO for MLK Day, a more flexible absence policy, plus the first PTO increase in decades.
As our community allies and members know, this contract did not come easily. Members held out and fought back against management’s demand that we settle for less. Members showed up in actions outside the hospital and in the community, and made their voices heard. Last night, the members ratified a solid agreement after bargaining since February.
