MADISON LABOR AND COMMUNITY LEADERS TO HOLD JULY 2, 2026 PRESS CONFERENCE TO SUPPORT 15 MINNEAPOLIS RESIDENTS INDICTED ON ‘CONSPIRACY’ CHARGES
MADISON – Labor and community leaders will hold a press conference Thursday, July 2, 2026 at the Labor Temple, 1602 S Park Street at 5 P.M. to support the 15 Minneapolis residents indicted on conspiracy charges. In the event of rain or extreme heat, the event will take place in Room 201 C.
The labor and community leaders organizing the July 2 press conference, have published a written statement: “We stand in unwavering solidarity with the MN AFL-CIO, educators and union activists who are supporting and defending the 15 Minnesota residents facing federal charges. The 15 residents protected neighbors from lawless agents of state-sanctioned violence and exercised their constitutional right to peacefully protest during “‘Operation Metro Surge.’” The Minnesota 15 are neighbors, teachers, union leaders and dedicated community members. Protesting is not a crime. Organizing is not a crime. Protecting our communities and defending immigrant neighbors against federal overreach is not a crime. We condemn these charges and the anti worker agenda behind them. An injury to one is an injury to all!”
