What started at one store in Buffalo is now a movement in 700+ stores.
In December 2021, baristas at the Elmwood Ave. store made history as the first unionized Starbucks in the U.S. That win sparked a wave of organizing that hasn’t stopped since.
Today, thousands of Starbucks workers are standing up for dignity, safety, and a real voice on the job. We’ve crossed 700 union election wins, and we’re fighting for the first union contract in Starbucks’ history.

Secure fair contracts
Hundreds of stores have unionized. Now we’re pushing for contracts that actually protect workers: better pay, real benefits, stable schedules, and a real say on the floor.
End union-busting and retaliation
Starbucks has tried to silence this movement. Workers haven’t backed down, and every person who joins makes us harder to ignore.
Build worker power
This isn’t top-down. It’s baristas, shift supervisors, and cafe workers organizing together and taking charge of their future.
We’re demanding the pay, hours, staffing, and protections baristas need to succeed, and it would cost Starbucks less than one day’s sales.
