Building Unity is organizing a tour with The Fight For Our Lives Coalition, a network of 30 organizations based in Milwaukee, to bring voter registration, community dialogue, and health, safety, and voice to all people in Wisconsin. Together, these organizations unite around a simple belief: that lasting change for people, peace, and the planet begins with communities that are informed, connected to one another, and collaborating. Let’s connect folks who are interested in a society that protects people, peace, and planet and democracy. Traveling aboard a RV Building Unity calls the UnityMobile, the tour will make 50 stops in communities across the state, including 12 sovereign Indigenous nations, over 20 weeks. The tour is designed not as a single event but as a bridge in helping neighbors find one another and stay connected long after we’ve moved on.
Filmmakers will be part of the tour, and funding is available to produce a documentary film. Building Unity believes this film can do something larger than document this tour; it can inspire people across Wisconsin and the nation to see that anyone can make change and that when we work together, our voice grows stronger. There is power in unity. Every person and action matters. Among the big ideas Building Unity hopes this film and tour can help carry forward is a simple one: that our nation would be stronger if we unite and stand on the side of love.
