Elected officials keep playing hot potato and passing the blame, but make no mistake: they have power. They can use their influence to call for the arrest of Killer Kop Kiel. They can fund the Independent Police Monitor, strengthen the PCOB, and give us community control over the police.
They have options. What they lack is the political will to challenge a system that protects police over people.
We not going for that.
