| The award winning film “Motorcycle Diaries” which UWM Union Cinema is showing free of charge at 6pm this Wednesday, Sept. 16, (2nd floor of UWM Student Union, 2200 East Kenwood Blvd., MKE 53211). Headlining UWM’s films for National Latine Heritage Month, this Oscar winner, also recognized as the Best Foreign Film by the British Oscars (BAFTA), depicts the life-changing experience of two Argentinian medical school graduates as they took sputtering motorcycles to discover the lives of the common peoples of South America. Based on the diary of Che Guevera, “this cinematic retelling of their transformative journey unabashedly revives the venerable, romantic notion that travel can enlarge the soul and, occasionally, even change the world.” |
