vocesdelafronterawi – We stand in solidarity with Indigenous community members and the October 3rd Walk of Awareness.
The run will start in Milwaukee, the walk starts in West Allis and ends at the Indian Community School.
This event is a call to confront the painful legacy of the Milwaukee Indian Boarding School, honor the children and generations affected by its history, and create space for truth-telling, healing, and honoring strength and resistance.
It wasn’t only Indigenous children who were sent to the school and who never returned.
