It’s official: Starbucks is gutting DEI policies company-wide to curry favor with Florida politicians, all while our union’s call for a boycott keeps growing.
Jasmine Leli, a barista and bargaining delegate with our union, put it best:
“Starbucks has abandoned its core value of belonging to satisfy a right-wing agenda. Brian Niccol isn’t taking us Back to Starbucks, he’s transforming the company into something unrecognizable.”
As part of the deal, Starbucks will pay Florida $1 million and submit anti-DEI compliance checks every year for the next four years. This is the same company that told baristas in 2020 that its support for Black partners “will never change.” Our union is fighting for a Starbucks where workers and customers alike feel safe and can thrive. Until the company finalizes a fair union contract and gets back to its values, the best thing you can do is vote with your dollar. ![]() ![]() BOYCOTT STARBUCKS. Want all the latest on the boycott? Join our call next Thursday, Oct 8 @ 7p ET / 4p PT to hear the latest and learn how you can join our fight to win our contract.![]() |
