Madison, January 27, 2018: Conversation About Racism in the Queer Community: MLK Day

Hosted by OutReach LGBT Community Center

2701 International Lane, Suite 101, OutReach LGBT Community Center, Madison, 10 A.M. – 12 NOON

Join us for our monthly discussion about racism within the queer community and how to work to dismantle it.

This month’s topic: Martin Luther King Jr Day and the whitewashing of movements.

As always, these conversations are intentionally queer spaces for those who identify as queer or LGBTQIA+ to come together, share experiences and learn from one another.

As a group, we acknowledge all forms of oppression (past and present) and confront structures of white supremacy. We learn from each other, and call each other in to dig deeper to understand these systems. Please join us for an engaging meeting!
