Racine Coalition for Peace and Justice
2nd and 4th Saturdays at the Dr. King Plaza (State Street and Dr. King Drive) in Racine at 10 A.M.
Hi Peacemakers,
We are going to continue meeting on the 2nd and the 4th Saturdays OUTSIDE with banners and signs until we can meet again in person and have speakers and presentations like we used to. We thank all of you that were present with us on the 25th.
So on Saturday, the 8th of August we will be present at the Dr. Martin Luther King Plaza (State Street and Dr. King Drive) in Racine from 10 am to 11 am.. The banners we will be flying are BLACK LIVES MATTER and STOP RACIST WARS, for most US wars are against people of color——be it here, in the Middle East, or in Latin America.
The wars we never hear of are the economic blockades the US has hung on over 30 countries. These sanctions are wars for they cause suffering and death—-blocking food, medicine and vital equipment such as ventilators. This information is almost never covered in the media.
So we will have our END THE BLOCKADES, US OUT OF CUBA & PUERTO RICO! banner. We also have a banner that went to Washington DC with us a long time ago, FUND HUMAN NEEDS NOT MILITARISM.
We social distance as we hold our banners, and we will have signs available for Palestine living under the racist and violent occupation of Israel. Please bring any BLM signs that you have, and wear your BLM or RCPJ t-shirts.
UNTIL THEN,
Elaine Marie Kinch for the Racine Coalition for Peace and Justice
