There was a rally and march to commemorate the Nakba on Sat. May 13, 2023. 

This term refers to the  removal of the people from the historic land of Palestine and replacing their promise of independence with the State of Israel which is backed by imperialism. 

This event was sponsored by several organizations including the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), Student for Justice in Palestine, among others. 

The rally and march are held annually to highlight the continuing plight of the Palestinian people and their struggle for national liberation and the right to return to their homes. 

After a host of speakers, the activists marched through the area chanting slogans which represent the continuing movement for Palestinian freedom.
