Starbucks Workers United:
You’ve heard us talk about the silica blending powder for weeks now, the one linked to coughing, wheezing 
, and hives. Baristas kept sounding the alarm, and the internet was listening. Video after video, store after store, the story kept spreading. And then? Starbucks pulled it. 
Starbucks didn’t do this out of the goodness of their corporate heart. They did it because baristas spoke up, loud and often, and the company knows we’re not going anywhere. We’re glad stores are removing the powder, but the risk isn’t gone until it’s out of every store for good. We’re still demanding Starbucks consult baristas before rolling out new ingredients, and give us the training and protective gear to do our jobs safely. Watch and share the full update

ICYMI: We Officially Called for a Boycott
In case you missed it (or need to send it to that one friend who still posts their drink), we called for a boycott of Starbucks this week. They got the biggest strike in company history and months at the bargaining table, and their answer was AI investments, ad spend, and a CEO paycheck that still tops the pay gap charts. A fair contract would cost less than one day’s sales. We’re fed up.
We’re not alone in this. America’s Labor Unions, SEIU, the California Federation of Labor Unions, the Association of Flight Attendants, and the Chicago Teachers Union (and more!) are all standing with us. When workers everywhere link arms, corporations notice.
Unicorn Frapp Day Wasn’t All Sparkles
Starbucks has unlimited money for promotions but not for their workers. While many of us can’t afford rent and rely on programs like SNAP and Medicaid, the company keeps rolling back our hours, benefits, and staffing. Don’t let the marketing distract you.
