More Info	Oshkosh Corp. (Oshkosh Truck) UAW Local 578 is in the middle of contract negotiations with the company and talks are not going well. They need our help and support. They will be holding an informational rally and march on Sunday September 25, 2011 beginning at 11:30 a.m. The rally will start at the UAW HALL 2920 Oregon St. in Oshkosh. From there they will march to a lot at the Oshkosh Truck facilities. In today’s times where the Governor and big corporations want to strip all unions and their workers of all their rights they have had for decades. We need to stand strong and in solidarity with our brothers and sisters and demand that our working rights be honored. Please come out if only for a short while we need to show the Oshkosh Corp. that the community stands behind the workers and their rights. After the Supreme Court refused to stay Troy Davis’ execution, he was just murdered by the state of Georgia. President Obama refused to intervene. Millions across the world are now mourning for Brother Davis and his family, but we also vow to keep fighting against injustice and to have the racist death penalty outlawed once and for all. The United States tonight, before the whole world, made it clear yet again its so-called ‘democratic’ hypocrisy.

The execution of Troy Davis has been delayed as the Supreme Court of the United States considers his latest appeal.

However, the United States Supreme Court cannot issue a reprieve, Georgia Corrections officials have told NBC News.  A reprieve would have to come from the state.

Thousands are protesting right now at the death house in Jackson, GA, Atlanta, and other cities throughout Georgia, Harlem and other cities throughout the United States and internationally including in England, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, France and other nations. Reports are also coming in from Democracy Now that pro Troy Davis supporters are on their way to the Supreme Court in Washington D.C. to protest and demand justice. Troy Davis is still alive because of worldwide resistance-keep it up, spread the word!

With only hours to go before the state of Georgia executes an innocent man, the efforts to prevent this horrific miscarriage of justice continue.

Messages of protest are going to every possible authority that can intervene from the Georgia Pardons and Parole Board to the Chatham County DA to President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder. In Atlanta, Troy’s supporters will gather at the State Capitol at 6pm. At www.gfadp.org/vigils  is a list of other locations where opponents of this execution will gather.
